Mastering the "Special Request" Field

Quick Summary

The "Special Requests" box on our booking form is your direct line to the operations team. Use it to specify essential details like "Rear facing baby seat required", "Carrying 2x 7ft surfboards", or "Please refrain from conversation (Quiet Mode)." This ensures we dispatch the correct vehicle configuration (e.g., a Mercedes V Class for boards) and brief the driver before arrival.

A standard taxi booking is binary: you need a car, you get a car. A Unison Transfer is different. It's a tailored service.

The difference lies in the details. The "Special Request" field in our UI isn't just a suggestions box; it's a command line for our logistics team.

Top 5 Power User Requests

Here are the most effective ways to use this feature to upgrade your experience:

Child Safety

"Need 1x Booster Seat and 1x Rear Facing Capsule."

Why: We pre install these so you don't have to wrestle with straps at the kerb.

Oversize Luggage

"Traveling with 2x Golf Bags and a Surfboard bag (6ft)."

Why: Ensures we send a V Class or Executive Vito Tourer, not a Sedan.

Quiet Mode

"Quiet Mode please. I have calls to make."

Why: Your driver will greet you, handle bags, and then remain silent so you can work.

Amenities

"Please have sparkling water available."

Why: Small touches make a big difference after a long flight.

How It Works in the App

When you reach the final step of the booking process, you'll see a text area labeled "Notes / Special Requests."

This data is piped directly into our driver dispatch app. When your chauffeur receives the job notification on their phone, these notes are highlighted in bold. They must acknowledge them to accept the job.

The "Gate Code" Protocol

For our clients in gated communities like Sanctuary Cove or Sovereign Islands, this field is vital. Entering your gate code here means the driver can arrive directly at your portico, rather than calling you from the guardhouse at 4:00 AM.

Handling Complexity

If your request is too complex for a text box (e.g., "Stop at X to pick up keys, then Y to get guests, then Z..."), we recommend using the Contact Us form first. However, for 99% of travel nuances, the Special Request field is your tool for customisation.

It turns a generic "transport service" into your personal chauffeur service.
