One of the most common questions before booking a private transfer is: what exactly am I paying for?
For passengers unfamiliar with premium airport transfer services in Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Byron Bay, this page documents every included service element in a standard Unison booking. Understanding what's included helps clarify why the price is different from a taxi and why passengers who have experienced both rarely return to alternatives.
Included: All Tolls and Road Charges
Every Unison transfer price includes all motorway tolls and government road charges applicable to the specific route. For Brisbane Airport to Gold Coast transfers, this includes M1 motorway and Logan Motorway tolls. For Ballina transfers, Northern Rivers Highway charges. The price you confirm at checkout is the final total, there are no toll additions on the day and no post journey invoice amendments.
Included: Terminal Meet and Greet With Name Sign
Your driver enters the arrivals terminal at the applicable airport, Brisbane International, Brisbane Domestic, Gold Coast Airport Tweed Heads, or Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, and waits in the public arrivals area with your name displayed. This is not kerbside pickup. This is inside terminal meet and greet at the point where passengers exit arrivals. It's included in the standard booking price, not an upgraded option.
Included: Automatic Flight Tracking With Dispatch Adjustment
When you provide your flight number at booking, the operations system monitors your flight in real time. If your flight delays or arrives early, the driver dispatch time adjusts automatically. You don't call to rearrange. You don't worry about whether your driver is waiting for 90 minutes accumulating waiting charges. Flight tracking and dispatch adjustment is included in every Unison booking as a standard operational feature.
Included: Luggage Management
From the moment your driver meets you in arrivals, luggage management is handled by the driver. Your bags are loaded into the vehicle without you having to manage them through kerbside areas, loading zones, or parking structures. For passengers with significant luggage, elderly passengers, or passengers travelling with children, this is a practical service element, not a luxury addition.
Included: Child Restraints on Request
Child restraints appropriate for your child's age and weight can be specified at booking at no additional charge. This applies to the full range of Queensland compliant child restraint types. Family transfers are a significant proportion of Unison bookings, and child restraint provision is a standard service element, not an add on.
Included: 24 Hour Confirmation With Driver Contact
Twenty four hours before your scheduled transfer, you receive a confirmation with your driver's contact details. The ability to contact your driver directly before travel day, to confirm child seat specifications, confirm the terminal meet point, or provide any last minute instruction, is included in the booking rather than available as a premium option.
What Is Not Included
Waiting time significantly exceeding the standard flight adjusted grace period, additional stops beyond the booked itinerary, and specific premium amenity requests (champagne, specific refreshments) are not standard inclusions. These can be arranged in advance. There are no hidden costs, what is and isn't included is documented at booking.
